Killeen law enforcement officers had a busy stretch, responding to a wide array of criminal incidents that ranged from violent assaults to property crimes and traffic violations. The following details were compiled from local police department reports.

In Killeen, an aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon was reported at 11:33 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Fort Hood Street, marking one of the more serious offenses of the period. Alongside that, two family-violence assaults were logged. The first, an assault causing bodily injury to a family member, took place at 12:25 a.m. in the 2700 block of Lucille Drive. The second, an assault by contact tied to family violence, occurred at 3:08 a.m. in the 2200 block of Silverway Drive.

Property crimes also featured prominently. A burglary of a vehicle was reported at 6:51 a.m. in the 2500 block of Hidden Hill Drive, while a burglary of a building was recorded at 9:22 a.m. in the 400 block of South Fort Hood Street. Two separate criminal mischief cases, each involving damage valued between $2,500 and $30,000, were reported. The first occurred at 12:53 a.m. in the 900 block of West Veterans Memorial Boulevard, and the second at 10:17 a.m. in the 700 block of Whitlow Avenue.

Retail theft was not overlooked. An organized retail theft, with stolen property valued between $100 and $750, was reported at 1:08 a.m. in the 4800 block of Trimmier Road. A theft from a person was reported at 1:40 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Fort Hood Street. Additionally, a case of evading arrest or detention using a vehicle was documented at 1:41 a.m. near the intersection of East Central Texas Expressway and South W.S. Young Drive.

Driving while intoxicated (DWI) incidents were recorded twice. The first occurred at 2:10 a.m. near Martin Luther King Jr. Lane and Monte Carlo Boulevard, and the second at 3:30 a.m. near West Elms Road and Old Farm-to-Market 440 Road. Other incidents included forgery of a financial instrument at 11:08 a.m. in the 3000 block of West Stan Schlueter Loop, and an illegal dumping case at 12:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of East Rancier Avenue.

In neighboring jurisdictions, Harker Heights and Copperas Cove police departments did not provide reports for the weekend, as per their standard procedures. However, Lampasas authorities were active. A suspicious person was reported at 7:18 a.m. in the 200 block of West Avenue E. Harassment was logged at 7:59 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Third Street. An assault by threat occurred at 8:12 a.m. in the 900 block of South Broad Street. A reckless driver was reported at 9:16 a.m. in the 1600 block of South Key Avenue, and a theft was recorded at 5:34 p.m. in the 600 block of South Key Avenue. Lampasas police also handled one escort, one motorist assist, and seven animal complaints. The department dispatched 10 medical calls and eight medical transfers for Hamilton EMS. No accidents were reported, and no arrests were made.
